El r\u00edo Madera nace en la confluencia de los r\u00edos Mamor\u00e9 y Beni en Bolivia.<\/p>\n<p>El gobierno brasile\u00f1o ya ha construido dos grandes represas en el r\u00edo Madera: la represa Jirau, que est\u00e1 a unos 80 km de la frontera con Bolivia, y la represa Santo Antonio, que se encuentra r\u00edo abajo a unos 7 km de la capital del estado de Porto Velho. Jazmin Gonzales Tovar<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nuestra evaluaci\u00f3n preliminar de las estrategias de conservaci\u00f3n identific\u00f3 varios casos prometedores que ofrecen oportunidades de an\u00e1lisis y aprendizaje. Mediante el an\u00e1lisis comparativo de cuatro casos espec\u00edficos en cada uno de los cuatro mosaicos focales del GIA (en Colombia, Bolivia, Brasil y Per\u00fa), esta investigaci\u00f3n tiene como objetivo evaluar la eficacia de las estrategias destinadas a promover la gobernanza de la infraestructura. Este estudio analiza de cerca los factores contextuales \/ ex\u00f3genos (por ejemplo, la pol\u00edtica), las relaciones de poder, las sinergias entre diversos tipos de estrategias, la movilizaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y las coaliciones \/ colaboraciones. Se explorar\u00e1 en profundidad c\u00f3mo ciertos actores con orientaci\u00f3n socioambiental enfrentaron proyectos de infraestructura espec\u00edficos en una regi\u00f3n amaz\u00f3nica determinada; qu\u00e9 estrategias utilizaron para avanzar en sus metas deseadas, c\u00f3mo ejercieron el poder para influir en la toma de decisiones, c\u00f3mo construyeron coaliciones e interactuaron con actores que ten\u00edan diferentes objetivos o prioridades, cu\u00e1les fueron los resultados y por qu\u00e9 (por ejemplo, cu\u00e1l fue el efecto de las relaciones de poder).<\/p>\n<p>Los casos elegidos en Colombia, Bolivia y Brasil cuentan con historias exitosas de grupos ind\u00edgenas que lograron detener o pausar proyectos de infraestructura que habr\u00edan impactado sus territorios y violado sus derechos. Para esos tres casos, esta investigaci\u00f3n tiene como objetivo producir evidencia cient\u00edfica y materiales de comunicaci\u00f3n que ayuden a estos grupos ind\u00edgenas en su lucha.<\/p>\n<p>Para Bolivia y Colombia, Jazmin est\u00e1 trabajando en colaboraci\u00f3n directa con l\u00edderes ind\u00edgenas de las comunidades estudiadas. En Colombia, el proyecto cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n de Nidia Becerra, una ind\u00edgena Inga y l\u00edder de Yunguillo. Yunguillo es un resguardo ind\u00edgena empoderado conocido por su lucha constante por sus derechos, que ha detenido con \u00e9xito dos proyectos viales. Nidia trabajar\u00e1 con el apoyo de dos miembros de la comunidad como asistentes de campo. En Bolivia, Jazm\u00edn est\u00e1 construyendo una relaci\u00f3n de colaboraci\u00f3n con Valent\u00edn Luna R\u00edos y Domingo Ocampo Huasna, dos l\u00edderes ind\u00edgenas de las comunidades de la regi\u00f3n Madidi y Pil\u00f3n Lajas, en la cuenca del r\u00edo Madera. Estas comunidades ind\u00edgenas, organizadas en una mancomunidad, lucharon para detener el proyecto hidroel\u00e9ctrico Chepete &#8211; El Bala. Estos l\u00edderes ind\u00edgenas participar\u00e1n en el estudio como co-investigadores.
